Background

This loggerhead turtle nested on the 1st July 2006 at Alagadi Beach on the north coast of Cyprus where we have been monitoring the nesting population since 1992. At this time she was fitted with a satellite transmitter that also has a dive computer which will not only tell us where she is located but also what depth of water she is in. This information is very important to assess the threat of fisheries interactions and levels of bycatch mortality.
