Background

This turtle was found by local staff from the Environment Society of Oman whilst she was covering her nest. The tagging event was attended by representatives from the Environment Society of Oman and children from Al Muhalab ibn Abi Soufrah (Masirah Boys High School).Members of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs were also present to tag the turtle and see it on its way back to the sea. She was named 'Jood' after the daughter of one of the MECA Rangers.
