Background

Mandy is a Kemp’s ridley sea turtle from the wild stock that nested at the Padre Island National Seashore 20 mile marker on 1 May 2007. She was outfitted with a satellite transmitter after nesting and was released at Padre Island National Seashore. She had not been documented nesting previously.

Mandy nested again at the Padre Island National Seashore 12.6 mile maker on June 7, 2007. She laid 81 eggs.
