Background

This adult female leatherback (164cm CCL/114cm CCW) was tagged with a satellite transmitter and given a STP on May 14, 2008. Lei Lani returned to SPNWR after she traveled 2165 km during a 28.9 tracking period. Her transmitter was successfully retrieved from her carapace and contained archival data for dive depth, stomach temperature and external temperature. Lei Lani, has laid 13 nests on SPNWR since 2003.
