Background

Thurayah, a beautiful hawksbill turtle, left the beaches at the Daymaniyat islands after having laid 79 eggs on one of the most picturesque of Arabian islands. She measured 77.0 cm CCL and carries tag number R48134 on her left front flipper thanks to the valuable efforts of the rangers who work for Oman's Ministry of Rulral Municipalities, Environment and Water Resources.
