Background

Nzinga Mbandi was the first leatherback tagged with a satellite transmitter in Angola. She was found digging a nest just after midnight on 4 December 2009, where she laid 96 eggs on Palmeirinhas Beach. She complete nesting and returned to the sea by 1:30 am.
